Frequently asked questions

What's an ASIN and where do I find it?

An ASIN is Amazon's 10-character product id (e.g. B0ABCD1234). You'll find it in the product URL right after /dp/, or in the 'Product details' section of any Amazon book page. You can also paste the whole product link or an ISBN — Listing Lens figures out the rest.

Are the sales and revenue numbers real Amazon data?

No. Amazon doesn't publish sales figures, so the units, revenue, and royalty numbers are rough estimates derived from public signals like Best Sellers Rank, list price, and page count. They're directional only and clearly labeled as estimates — never presented as live data.

Which marketplaces are supported?

The US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy stores. Pasting a full Amazon link auto-detects its marketplace; otherwise pick one from the dropdown.

Does a lookup use credits?

Yes — each lookup is one AI read of the fetched page, priced by the model you pick (Gemini Flash-Lite by default). You're only charged once the page is successfully fetched, so an invalid ASIN or a blocked fetch never costs you. Saving, exporting, and comparing are free; the optional AI opportunity analysis is a separate, low-cost call.

Can I export the data?

Yes. Every lookup exports to CSV or JSON, and you can save lookups to a library to revisit and compare competitors side by side.
